Who is responsible for paying the COD charges and shipping fee?


 A: The COD collection charges and shipping fee are two separate and distinct fees. The payment of these fees can be borne by either the seller or receiver. While COD charges is deducted from the COD amount collected by your courier, the shipping fee is deducted from the seller’s EasyParcel credit on their account.


Scenario 1: Seller A bears both COD charges and shipping fee.

COD charges: Under COD amount, only the product amount is keyed in and the courier shall only receive the product amount from the receiver.

Shipping fee: Is deducted from the seller’s EasyParcel credit.


Scenario 2: Seller B bears the shipping fee only.

COD charges: The receiver bears the COD charges. Under COD amount, both the product amount and COD charges are keyed in by the seller for the courier to collect.

Shipping fee: Is deducted from the seller’s EasyParcel credit.


Scenario 3: Seller C bears the COD charges only.

COD charges: Under COD amount, both the product amount and shipping fee are keyed in by the seller for the courier to collect.

Shipping fee: Is deducted from the seller’s EasyParcel credit, but the receiver bears the shipping fee.

Scenario 4: Seller D wants the receiver to bear both the COD charges and shipping fee.

COD charges: Under COD amount, product amount, COD charges and shipping fee are keyed in by the seller for the courier to collect.

Shipping fee: Is deducted from the seller’s EasyParcel credit, but the receiver bears the shipping fee.
