HS code or Harmonized System Code were created for import and export use by the customs department to classify commodities when they are being declared at the customs frontiers by exporters and importers. HS Code is a type of numerical code standardized for traded goods.
How to get HS code for my item?
The first 6 digit is a standardized HS Code for international countries and followed by 4 digit code that is additional to Singapore customs' Tariff Code.
You can get the HS code for your item at Singapore Customs website, simply add the keyword for your item and click "Start Search".
How to assign an HS code to my parcel content?
To pass the custom clearance smoother, you can assign an HS code to your parcel content when booking with us. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Log in to your account, go to "Send Parcel", click "Single Parcel". Quote your parcel and book.
Step 2: Choose from a multiple of our international courier partners and hit "Book".
Step 3: In the "Fill in parcel details" part, insert the correct HS Code in the space provided
What if I assign wrong HS Code?
Take note that assigning a wrong HS code may results in delayed shipment as well as costly consequence. Wrongly assigned-code parcel may lead to possibility for the goods to be impounded, then an investigation will take over. A penalty could also be imposed as well as seizure of the goods.
